2013 NFL Playoff Predictions

The NFL regular season has come to a close. Laughs, tears, smile, frowns, big hits, record setting rookie QB's, deaths, big plays, lost opportunities, and one defending Super Bowl champion that wasn't so lucky with a replicating 9-7 record all brought us to this new roller-coaster of emotions that we call, THE PLAYOFFS.

As you recall, because I know you read this blog daily, I predicted these playoffs back in week 3. To my own surprise, I was pretty close! Speaking strictly in term of teams that made the playoffs, my prediction was 75% correct (the Giants, Raiders, and Bears missed the post-season dance, while the Colts, Vikes, and Redskins took their tickets)! So here we go again. 20 teams down, 12 remain. 2 conferences, 1 champion. My last blog had 49ers VS Ravens in the big dance, with Baltimore coming out on top. Lets see how it goes this time around!

Again, no scores, just wins (cuz that's all we care about : )

AFC SEEDS
1) Broncos
2) Patriots
3) Texans
4) Ravens
5) Colts
6) Bengals

BRACKET

(6)Bengals@(3)Texans-->(6)Bengals@(1)Broncos-->(4)Ravens@(1)Broncos-->(1) Broncos

(5)Colts@(4) Ravens-->(4)Ravens@(2)Patriots

-Few great rematches:

I don't know what is going on with the Texans, but they're cold and the Bengals are hot. On that premise only, Cincy advances. Had the Colts/Ravens game been in Indy, I'd take Indy. As much as I love Andrew Luck (Rookie of the year baby!), Baltimore proves too much at home.

-Next round:
Sorry Cincy, Broncos at home all day. Beautiful AFC championship game rematch with a different outcome this year. Ravens defense is rested and healthy (hopefully), and the possible return of Ray Lewis takes care of the Pats.

-AFC Champ Game:
Peyton VS Brady would be a great game, but nah. Ravens get their shizzle together and give Denver a run for its money. However, home field advantage plays a huge role in these playoffs. Broncos to the Super Bowl.

NFC SEEDS
1) Falcons
2) 49ers
3) Packers
4) Redskins
5) Seahawks
6) Vikings

BRACKET
(6) Vikings @ (3) Packers--> (6) Vikings @ (2) 49ers --> (5) Seahawks @ (2) 49ers --> (2) 49ers
(5) Seahawks @ (4) Redskins--> (5) Seahawks @ (1) Falcons

-Just as last predictions, great games here. As a side note, I believe the NFC is the much stronger conference. Thus, many upsets! Legoo:

Vikings do it again! AP runs all over the Green Bay defense as Minn advances. To me, Seattle has been THE surprise team in the NFL. They have been consistently scrappy for a few years, but never did much. This year, with the sensational rookie under center, they go from mediocre to dominant! Advance (sorry RGIII).

-On to the next:
I know the Vikings took care of the business earlier in the season, but not this time. Kaepernick adds a whole other dimension to this already strong 49ers team. Again, some "Fools Gold" (of course you understand that reference, because you read this blog daily!) is dug up in ATL.

-NFC Champ Game
This is going to be a game if I've ever seen one. Divisional rivals, duel threat QB's, lights, camera, action! I hate to go against my own predictions, but I could easily see this one going the other way. However, at this moment while I write, my gut tells me San Fran....for now.

SUPER BOWL!!

Great match up! The old man VS young blood. This is a hard one....Broncos are hot, but 49ers are SO well coached ...San Fran has more raw talent, but Denver has Peyton...Patrick Willis will wreck havoc but Von Miller can wreck just as much...what to do, what to do...

Super Bowl Prediction: 49ers over Broncos

That is all. See you on February 3rd!
