Yesterday the league announced that the New Orleans Hornets plan to change the name of the team to the New Orleans Pelicans. The change could take place as soon as the 2013-2014 season. The change was decided upon after ownership wanted to change mascots, and apparently the Pelicans was the best they could come up with.
The Charlotte Bobcats who were formerly known as the Charlotte Hornets said they would like to return to being called the Hornets when New Orleans makes the change. GM Michael Jordan is also on board with the move.
They should have just changed to the New Orleans Unibrows.
