Chip Kelly changes his mind, chooses Eagles

After originally saying he will stay at Oregon, Ducks head coach Chip Kelly has been hired by the Philadelphia Eagles to the same position. Kelly told media earlier this month that after interviewing with several NFL teams with head coaching vacancies, that he had chosen to return to Oregon where he has had so much success. Apparently Chip has changed his mind and will become the coach of the Eagles starting next season.

Chip obviously didn't read my post giving him the advice to stay at Oregon, where he has a recruiting advantage as well as Nike granting him his every wish. This is a big hire for the Eagles, but an even bigger loss for the Ducks. Kelly's spread offense ran a muck in the Pac-12 again this year leading to a Fiesta bowl win over Kansas State. Now the future is uncertain in Eugene as their leader has bolted for the pro ranks.
