Kings moving to Seattle

The owners of the Sacramento Kings the Maloof family is reportedly finalizing a deal to sell the team to an investor group that will move the team to Seattle. No deal has been signed as of yet, but they are in the final stages of completing the sale that would bring an NBA team back to the city of Seattle for the first time since the Sonics were moved to Oklahoma City.

This is great news for Seattle fans who had their hearts ripped out when they had Kevin Durant taken away from them. On the other hand cities such as Louisville and Las Vegas miss out once again, even though they already have NBA ready arenas, whereas Seattle will have to wait two years to build the Kings a new arena. The NBA would probably have been better off having the team in one of those two locations rather than a city that already proved it could not support an NBA franchise.

I hope Tyreke and Boogie pack their rain boots.
